Dearest Double Cousins (We know that means that our parents were siblings in Gengler and Jensen families.) . . . and your families . . .
We celebrate the full life of a beautiful and loving woman who reached out and individually knew all of us. As the oldest, I remember Aunt Bernie when she was still in high school . . . and I loved looking up at her and getting lost in those dimples that so many of you inherited . . . we are sad for her to leave us, but at the same time, we know that she is joyfully reuniting with many we loved here on earth and are now all together with her. . . I am sorry for your heartache and pain as you say farewell . . . but she left many joyful memories behind . . . I always smile in her memory when I see the little marble owl she gave me . . . and there are many of those owls (what a collection!) out there among you to bring back sweet memories . . . May she rest in peace . . . .
