We were saddened and surprised when we heard of Vern's passing. Vern and Inez were special people and seemed to open their arms to the stray pets and even some of ours that strayed to their place. It seems so strange to look up the road and know the house is vacant. Know our prayers and thoughts are with the whole family at this time. Vern was an excellent bus driver. When we were young, a driver lost his brakes when Vern was letting us off. He never opened the doors until all vehicles were stopped. Thank you Vern for our young lives you saved. Rest in peace.
