I knew Gwen when she would visit her sister,Carol and family. We both were teachers and we would compare notes. She was always gracious and showed deep interest in others. I am sure her students were lucky for having her.

My family was lucky to know Gwen Pigott as a teacher and as someone who cared enough to open her home to us during a crisis in our lives. What a fantastic friend she turned out to be. Tami had Mrs. Pigott as her kindergarten teacher, loved her and the classroom bunny and was the first one to do back flips during the annual Easter Parade, We only lived at Gwen's for a few months but we made a forever friend and spent many weekends spending quality time with her. I will miss Gwen's wonderful Christmas letters, her vacation letters and all her wonderful recipes will be around forever. Thank you Gwen for everything you have given us and we will never forget you. What a blessing you were to everyone you touched.

I would like to express my sympathy to Gwen's family. She had two of my three children and was a wonderful teacher. I also work for Carol Hubing and would see Gwen when she came in. She was a gem of a person. Jan Miller

I am very proud to be a cousin of Gwen's and honor her for the tremendous person she was. She is to be commended for her intense love for children and her gentle spirit with everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by many but happy in heaven where her eternal reward is.

Unfortunately because of my own health issues I will not be able to attend the funeral service for Gwen. as a 33 year teaching colleague of Gwen's at Loyal Schools I offer my sympathy to her family and friends. Indeed, she served her students, the profession, and the entire Loyal community well. With sincerity, Alan L Bedwanic

I had Mrs. Pigott for my kindergarden teacher the 2nd year she taught in Loyal. Both my children also had her. She will always be loved and remembered as the "BEST" teacher ever. Loyal has lost a wonderful person. Rest in peace Mrs. Pigott, you will be missed always and remembered forever.

You taught my husband and four children. You were my colleague, mentor and friend. Your traveling spirit has taken you to heaven to join your family there. You will be greatly missed by many, but not forgotten. Our prayers are for you and for your family. God Bless You.

To a very special teacher and woman. You will certainly be missed by all of us! I enjoyed knowing you and learning all about your great trips to many different countries. What a knowledgeable woman you were.

We both worked with Gwen in the School District of Loyal. She was a teacher that we all wanted to be. Her shoes were big and most of us will never be able to walk in them. She was a one in a million. She continually followed all the sports at Loyal High and very much held my husband in high respect as the wrestling coach. She would tell us both that she could never do our jobs. We always professed that we couldn't have done what she did everyday. Patience was needed in the area of kindergarten and she knew how to have it. I feel she assisted me with this trait along the way and know her teachings to me a fellow teacher will be with me forever. Gwen was a pillar of the Loyal community and one that will me missed by all. What a giving and loving lady. Many children will forever call her mom due to all she took into her home. If we could all take one of her beautiful caring ways and put it into practice daily, we would make her shine down from heaven even brighter then she is already shining down on our small community of Loyal. Much peace to you Gwen and your family. All of our lives were touched by you. Thank you Gwen.

Simply put, Loyal lost a shining light in this sometimes dark world. She was truly an inspiration and loving force in the lives of the little ones she taught for so many years, to her colleagues she gave more than any of us will ever know, and the families who she took into her home with open arms and a smile on her face, when no one else would. She was a "Teachers" teacher who "walked the walk and talked the talk." With grace and class she was never afraid to breathe and uplift the name of Jesus at her memorable Easter parades every spring and the children were able to sing "Three crosses on a hillside" with no shame...Bless her heart... She impressed many of us with the wisdom of her faith and her charming kindness. What a classy woman she was, what a loss for all of us who loved her...Heaven now shines beautifully with her prescence, her spirit filled with the promises of Eternal Life, spending it with the God she served so eloquently...To our friend, Mrs. Pigott, who truly was a reflection of the light of Christ, rest in perfect peace my friend, until we meet again.

Our condolences to the Pigott family. Gwen Pigott was an amazing teacher who touched lives of three generations of our family. I have very fond memories of her and will cherish those until we see each other again. May The Lord's strength and love sustain you throughout the coming days and may we all rejoice and give thanks for Gwen.
