Happy to have been able to attend Bob's Celebration of Life today to meet family members and hear the stories shared about our friend, Bob! I had the great fortune in my years working at AMPI to meet and host three of his brothers and their brides in the AMPI Young Cooperator program; plus got to know Bob through AMPI's advertising support of the Goetz Farm Radio Network over many years and a couple of early morning interviews at WDLB in Marshfield. Value meeting and sharing condolences with Bob's Coni, whom I had heard about but never met. Also, some conversation time today with Bob's brothers, Rich & Larry, and an enjoyable chat with Bob's fellow farm broadcasters in attendance! Bob's smile, wit, and good humor brought chuckles and goodwill to so many people, along with the relevant ag news of the day. RIP, Bob! 'You did good, real good!'

I never had the privilege of meeting Bob in person but - whenever you would hear his voice on the radio it was like listening to an old friend! The world is a better place because Bob and his Voice were in it. Today is January 30, 2026 and we are (hopefully) towards the end of a sub zero cold streak. Like the "Guy on the Radio" would say - "But we are one day closer to Spring!". Thank-you for sharing him. Take care.

Dear members of the Meyer-Family,
I am sorry for your loss. My dad Friedrich told me about Bob´s passing and also showed me the Wisconsin Broadcasting Hall of Fame Video about him. I think it is great that you have this kind of memory of him and also the records of his voice. I remember the stories my dad told me about you and his time with you. You can tell that these memories were very influental for him and he is still greatful that you gave him such a nice home in a country so far from home. We still have a picture with my grandparents and my great grandmother when we met Bob and Coni in a Biergarten in Germany. Although I don´t remember, you can see how we were all laughing and clearly having a good time.
Again I am sorry for your loss and hope you will find your peace with it. I am sure that Bob lived a good life and loved you all very much.
May God bless him and all of you,
Moritz

It was my privilege to work with and get to know Bob at WDLB in the early 90's and later when he worked for Brownfield. An awesome radio talent who loved Three Dog Night and Riders in the Sky! Condolences to Coni and Bob's friends and family.

Such a life well lived! It was my pleasure to know him and appreciate his leadership skills through the Jaycees. My condolences to Coni and the rest of the family. That great smile and booming voice will be missed by all who were privileged to know Bob.

Worked with Bob at WDLB in the 70’s. He was just getting started as night jock, I was Sports Director and just getting started myself. During our broadcasting of high school football and basketball games his behind the scenes genius as an engineer monitoring the live broadcasts and controlling the commercial ins and outs and slapping together replays for halftime and end of game recaps was special. Not surprising to me that as he moved up the ladder his fabulous career ended with being inducted into the Wisc. Broadcasting Hall of Fame. We stayed in touch through the years and I’m sorry that he’s gone.

I met Bob through Jaycees when I did a fair amount of public speaking. I never wanted to have to follow him on the agenda since he was such a fantastic public speaker. My condolences to Coni and his other family members. May God welcome Bob into heaven.

Condolences to the family and prayers for your loss. I enjoyed working with Bob over many years. The best was FTD in Clark County. Without Bob's help this successful project would have been less. The county lost an individual with local public will miss.

My sincere sympathy to Coni and Bob's family and friends. I met Bob and Coni through Jaycees/Jaycettes and always admired them. After many years of not seeing them, I was privileged to see both of them again last September and give them each hugs. Another good guy gone too soon.

We met at a Jaycee event and continued to grow into strong friends. Outside of Jaycees our bonds continued to grow. Bob and Coni would be the ones coming to the hospital to visit me when I am sick. Blessings to the entire Meyer family as they grieve their loss.

Whenever I think of Bob, I immediately picture his smile. He always had a big, genuine smile on his face - even while he was talking. He gave good hugs, too. I first met Bob while I was Alice in Dairyland back in 2004. I had the pleasure of doing multiple radio interviews with him and seeing him at various events. Seeing him at the Alice selection each year was always a highlight. He remembered every Alice he worked with and was so good at putting people at ease during interviews. He had a vitality and energy about him that lifted the mood of everyone around him. Miss you, Bob.

Bob was not only a great farm broadcaster but a friend. He was fun to be around and great to work with. I remember back when I worked in Amery and we were struggling with old technology to run his Daybreak program on the Goetz Network (before the Internet!). Bob knew everybody. After Bob left his position at Brownfield Ag News and I was chosen to take his old spot, I remember catching up with him at an event and picking his brain for contacts, ideas, advice, etc. along with hearing some great stories. I told him "It's hard to fill your shoes, Bob." He laughed and said, "Just wear your own shoes. That's all you have to do." Great advice. Another great memory was when Clark County hosted Farm Technology Days and Bob was part of the hosting committee. Whenever someone was on the walkie talkies with a crisis and couldn't find the supervisor, we would hear, "Where's Bob?" Bob could solve the problem. A few of us at the media tent were joking that we should wear tee shirts with "Where's Bob?" on the front. Now, we know Bob is in a better place.
