So very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Such a nice person and neighbor from years ago.

It’s difficult to imagine coming to Greenwood and not seeing Uncle Bernie. The girls and I will miss him and his sweet, kind, and witty manner. He and Aunt Pat created a beautiful legacy of faith and giving. What a wonderfully rich life Uncle Bernie had! He’s rollerskating in heaven now! My deepest condolences to Aunt Pat and their family.

My sincere condolences to Pat and her family. I first met this loving Christian family when my son, Matthew, became engaged to their lovely youngest daughter, Amy. Bernie and Pat, along with their family, gave me a very warm and welcomed gathering at Peter and Michelle’s home in Watertown 20 years ago. I returned for Bernie and Pat’s 50th wedding anniversary, and for their son’s, Father Keith’s, ordination. What a great and loving legacy Bernie and Pat have. This is a legacy that will continue to grow. May God bless and give all of you comfort.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” Matthew 5:4.

Our deepest sympathy to the loss of a great man. His legend will live on in his family, church and community. He will be greatly missed. We appreciated his role in the military and thanked him for his role in the Legion Honor Guard at the High Grounds. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Kitzhaber family. Sorry to the whole family for your loss of a wonderful man. Bernie was one of a kind and always there with a smile and how are you doing. The little people that loved having him as a bus driver, the farmer and great neighbor to so many.
