Dan and family.......your mom was Special and was there ever a person that met her that didn't absolutely enjoy her company and come away with a whole new outlook on life ?
Only had a few conversations ,but will always remember at least one in the crowded Thorpedo and we had more laughs in 3 minutes than I could handle. Wally would NOT be the person he was without you mom. May she Rest in Peace.

Relocating to Thorp,WI from Chicago, IL. in 2003, and having family from Lublin, brought me and my Dan to know and love many, many wonderful people. What a pleasure it had been knowing Ella and Wally, and now, Dan and Maureen, not just being an IGA shopper or just part of the community, but also through the American Legion.
I wish I could have bowled or played cards with Ella. Now she can enjoy her husband, family, and dear friends in heaven. What a wonderful life! God bless the Welgos family! May you rest in peace now, Ella, for a long life well-lived.

My condolences to the family of Ella. She was such a nice lady, trying to teach me how to bowl after I retired! I also enjoyed visiting with her when swimming at the Stanley Community Pool. I'll never forget the kindness she showed me. Rest in Peace Ella!

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Ella Welgos. What an amazing woman! We have so many memories of visiting with her and other friends at the Soderberg Dr. apartment. She was a good friend and neighbor to our mom (Nana) Martha Wojt and visited with her often. I (Arlene) would take walks with her and always enjoyed her sense of humor and commentary. We often had "lively" political discussions. We have pictures and memories of sitting on the porch at the apartment in the sunshine with several other ladies and often their families. Good times. Ella will be missed.

I just got word of Ella’s passing today and wanted to let her family know how much I enjoyed getting to know her in her later years. She became one of my mom’s closest friends as they carpooled to the Stanley swimming pool for many years and was one of my mom’s neighbors at Matt Dietrich’s apartment building. She had so many great stories and had a wonderful sense of humor. I feel honored that I got to know her and I will miss her. I’m glad I got the chance to see her the last time I was in Thorp.
