I will always remember the many wonderful visits I had with Clarence & Vera whenever I would return home from college in Minnesota in the mid-1990's. I had become fast friends with them after Clarence spoke to our English class during my junior year at Greenwood High and I wrote a paper about his WWII experiences and entered it into a state contest. Even though my entry did not win, I gained something so much greater! I cannot say enough about the kindness and love they both showed this young man so many years ago. They lived out their faith and shared their love of the Lord with me. Vera's in heaven now with her beloved Clarence and her Savior, and in this we can rejoice! May her family be comforted by the Holy Spirit during this difficult time, and may her smile remain always in each of your hearts.
