Condolences to the Family of Timothy D. "Zeke" Zunker

EAK Wausau, WI – Posted On: January 7, 2023

I see 9 condolences listed for Tim Zunker & family, but I don't see any condolences for his wife. Contrary to much misinformation, he was still married. It is very surprising to see condolences from 11/21/22, 3 days after his death. Unfortunately, his wife did not find out about his death until 12/2/22, 14 days after his death. Does anyone realize how shocked and hurt this was to his wife and in-laws? So family and friends of Jennifer Kirchner Zunker would like to extend condolences at this time to her and Tim' s in-laws. From brother, sister-in-law, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and her friends.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I can't even begin to express my condolences. I was just thinking about him the other day and laughing. I remember going to McDonald's when he worked there for family night, and flying off his handle bars after he decided to use the wall as his breaks. He used to even play Barbies with me when I was little. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Tim was so full of laughter and fun. He had a great sense of humor. He always gave his mother such a hard time because she was so serious and he was the opposite. Tim took such good care of his parents when they needed something or if they just simply needed a good chewing out. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. God has definitely called another angel home ❤️

My heartfelt condolences to you.
Zeke was probably the nicest, funniest and caring person I had ever met. Our family (Weyer) loved him as one of our own. He gave himself to others without a second thought. I will miss his infectious laugh, his crazy jokes and just him being him.

Mr. and Mrs. Zunker, it is with great sympathy and shock that we are sending our condolences to you. I happened to meet Tim through a mutual friend Duane Weyer. Tim asked me to be at the airport when you came back from the honor flight. I was honored to do so. He was so proud of the fact that he could sponsor you and talked at great length about how proud he was of you and all the men and women on that flight. he wanted me to meet you and I did after you landed. Whenever I was in the Wausau area I would call him and we would meet at Brews brothers for supper. He would always try to analyze me and get into my head which now I find kind of funny because when I would not talk about my military career he started calling me Sallee!!! I actually came to the point where I kind of liked the nickname that he gave me!!! This has to be the hardest situation to deal with that you’ve ever experienced, and I want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I would really like to meet the two of you again in the future. I am going to really miss him. Sincerely yours Dave.

Tom and Linda are deepest sympathies to you. Tim {Zeke} will be so missed here at the Weyer Farm in all are crazy things we do. Little did we know that on Thursday it would be his last time at the farm. Zeke was like a Uncle, brother, nephew, son and a great friend, all wrapped up in one wonderful person to this family he wasn't blood related, but we sure considered Zeke family. Rest in Peace our friend.
