Steve enjoyed working with Duane. The concern Steve felt the night of Duane’s fire confirm the fact that Duane was more than just a neighbor.
The boys nicknamed him “The Farmer” after hearing Paul Harvey So God Made A Farmer. The boys would watch Duane on the tractor and try to race the tractor with their bikes.
He was a quiet neighbor and will be missed. Deepest sympathy to the family.
