Our deepest sympathies to Roger and all of the Hoffman family. We remember Lucy as an energetic, enthusiastic, kind, loving mother and friend. She and Roger welcomed us to Thorp in 1975 with open arms. Earl had the privilege of coaching and teaching some of her daughters and she and Roger were always involved and supportive. We will remember Lucy for her love and generous spirit. We were blessed to have known her.

The day we all dread has arrived and I am filled with sadness. All my thoughts are with Roger, Ann, Gwenn, Suzy, Julie, Heidi, Rebecca, Sarah and the rest of Lucy's descendants on these days of the loss of a great lady who will be missed by all those who knew her. We must all take comfort in knowing she has ascended to a higher state of existence, that she gave life to many and made life much better for those whose lives she touched. I am sorry I was not able to be there with you to bid her farewell. Her Blessing presence will be missed.

May the Angels lead you into paradise;
may the martyrs greet you at your arrival
and lead you into the holy city, Jerusalem.
Sympathy to the family, she was a great lady.
