We are so sorry for your loss, dear girls! Your mom will always be remembered for her kindness to us when we taught at St. Hedwig's. She was always so gracious and so willing to drive us wherever we needed to go. Such a lovely, classy lady! Treasure your memories of her and celebrate her long, amazing life. May the love you have for each other and your families bring you comfort. You all remain the most beautiful legacy she could have left. This is a favorite poem that may also bring some comfort. Rest in peace, Tosh, rest in peace!
Gone From My Sight
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
And that is dying...

Hey you four beautiful girls! Another challenge that I know all of you will graciously get through because you have each other! Thank goodness that Tosia had you and your families all around her. Your Mom had her own way of being exquisite and I'm sure God is going to give her a room with red carpeting or drapes or both! Hear her voice in your head and keep it in your heart. Keep talking to her because all those messages get through to a line that is never busy! Love you all!
