A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on. Our condolences.

I was saddened to here of Tom's passing. As a Retail Lumber yard owner I had the pleasure of knowing Tom through our many fall pheasant hunting trips out to South Dakota sponsored by C-Teed/ Wausau Supply, and through his membership in the Wisconsin Retail Lumber Association. What a classy gentlemen. Always enjoyed our talks on many different subjects. He truly Loved his family, church and community. RIP Big Guy

Tom was a customer of mine years ago when I was his uniform delivery guy and just wanted to say I was lucky to have had the pleasure of knowing him. He was so very good to all he came in contact with. In my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely!
Rollin Nelson.

You cannot describe how well Tom managed people at Thorp Lumber in the 1960's boom years. Many of us worked long hot hours without a forklift
under tight schedules. We might have bitched about how hard the work was , but I never heard a word against Tom . He was calm and understanding
when any of us messed up. I cannot say enough of how good a person he was. And yes, I do believe the story about him downing the 88 bottles of beer.
Rest in peace, the world needs more people/ bosses like him.
