Joel Robert Quadracci was born on March 25, 1960 in Waukesha, WI, the son of Carl L. and Evelyn R. (Augustadt) Quadracci of Racine, WI.  He was raised and received his education at Yorkville Elementary School, Yorkville, WI; St. Bonaventure High School, Sturtevant, WI; and graduated from St. Mary's High School, Burlington, WI in 1978.  After high school, Joel worked several jobs in the Milwaukee area, before moving to Boulder, Colorado, where he worked in roofing and construction.  He lived in Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Nederland, and other areas of Colorado, and then returned to Wisconsin where he attended nursing school and became a registered nurse.  Joel worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, in Eau Claire, until a disability forced him to retire.
He had many interests, but especially loved being with his daughter, Alyssa, riding horses, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
Joel will be dearly missed by his daughter: Alyssa Marie Quadracci of Thorp;  his mothers:  Evie Augustadt and Kathy Howenstine of Berthoud, CO;  his siblings:  Jodi (George) Marino of Madison, WI; Jon (Nadine) Quadracci of Pinellas Park, FL;  James (Donna) Quadracci of Longmont, CO; Jay (Kristin) Quadracci of Brighton, CO; Jeff Lindh (Bill Graybill) of Berthoud, CO;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Jeri Caravella.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in Joel's name for a fund to be set up at a later date.
