Full Obituary

     EDWARD J. "ED" KLINKE, age 66, of Greenwood, WI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, March 12, 2016.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Greenwood.  Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial of cremains will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.  Military rites will be conducted by the Greenwood American Legion Post #238.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9am until time of service.
     Edward John Klinke was born on February 27, 1950 in Marshfield, WI, to Alvin J. and Florence M. (Bayuk) Klinke.  He was raised and received his education in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1969.  After completing high school, Ed enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Vietnam War.  After his honorable discharge, he returned to Greenwood and went to work at the Neillsville Foundry.  Ed later worked as a diesel mechanic in Cumberland, WI before becoming an OTR truck driver, which he did until retiring in 2010 due to health concerns.
     He had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family.  Ed was very proud of his grandson, Joseph.  He also enjoyed fishing, car racing, gardening, helping others, and his dog, Boulder.
     Ed will be dearly missed by his daughter: Jeanie Klinke of Marshfield;  his grandson:  Joseph Klinke of Marshfield;  his siblings:  Dolores (Richard) Hastreiter of Hudson,  Patricia Klinke of Greenwood,  Kathleen (John) Sytkowski of Kenosha,  Robert (Lonna) Klinke of Greenwood,  Joan (Jeff) Hoeper of Greenwood,  Mary Lou (Tom) Behrens of Willard,  Sandy Herrick of Willard,  Ronald Klinke of Willard,  Peggy (Craig) Smith of Willard;  his sister-in-law:  Carole Klinke of Bloomer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his parents;  one brother, Michael; and one niece, Michael's daughter, Mica.
     Ed's family requests that memorials be given to the Greenwood Food Pantry or the Clark County Humane Society.
