Full Obituary

     JAMES R. "JIM" MCBRIDE, JR., age 55, of Loyal, WI, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.  A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Loyal Jr/Sr High School, in Loyal, with Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be held at the school, on Saturday, from 9am until time of service.
     James Ronald McBride was born on September 8, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN to James Ronald and Sarah (Kerr) McBride.  In 1978, after graduating from South Port High School in Indianapolis, he attended Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Education.  He later earned his Master’s degree in Education Administration from Winona State University in Winona, MN.  Jim taught High School Mathematics for 34 years at Loyal High School in Loyal, WI.  Throughout his teaching career, Jim coached high school football, baseball, and softball.  His hobbies included following various sports teams, fishing, playing cards, and extreme sarcasm.  He married Heidi L. Halverson on June 3, 1989 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer.
     Jim is survived by his loving wife, Heidi, of Loyal; two daughters: Tierney McBride (Dale Fahrnow) of Milwaukee, Katelyn McBride (Zach Hoffarth) of Loyal; three brothers: J. Kevin McBride of Johnsburg, IL,  J. Timothy (Jennifer) McBride of Port Washington, WI,  Carlton (Amari) Collins of  Sturgeon Bay, WI;  sister-in-law: Cindy Collins of Belmont, CA;  step-mother: Challoner Morse McBride Brown of Baileys Harbor, WI; mother and father-in-law: Arthur and Nancy Halverson of Riplinger, WI; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Troy Collins.
