Full Obituary

PHYLLIS J. SYTH, age 82, of Greenwood, WI, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Clark County Health Care Center, in Owen. A memorial mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Greenwood. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial of cremains will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, on Tuesday, from 10am until time of service.
Phyllis Jane Rondorf was born in Greenwood, WI on February 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Evelyn (DeMuth) and Joseph Rondorf. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the Greenwood area, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1950. After graduation, Phyllis moved to Milwaukee, where she worked as a waitress. She was united in marriage to Duane L. Syth on June 13, 1951 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood. They lived in Milwaukee until moving to Santa Clara, CA in 1960. Phyllis worked at Lockheed, as a circuit board inspector for missile launching systems, until retiring in 1991. They moved back to Greenwood in 1993, where she resided until entering the Clark County Health Care Center in April 2006.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Phyllis had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family and friends, attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, baking, bowling and dancing.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by her husband, Duane, of Greenwood; 3 daughters: Donna Boone of San Jose, CA, Cheryl (Roger) Gorella of Fresno, CA, Patti (Bill) Bright of Greenwood, WI; 4 sons: Brad (Michele) of Santa Cruz, CA, Steve (Jean) of Livermore, CA, Rodney of Mountain View, MO, Brian of San Jose, CA; 15 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 24 step great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 19 step great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Marjorie Lloyd of West Bend, WI and Patricia (Mel) Alvarado of Kewaskum, WI; 5 brothers: John (Shirley) Rondorf of Milwaukee, WI, James (Norma) Rondorf of Cudahy, WI, Charles (Marge) Rondorf of West Bend, WI, Dennis (Sandy) Rondorf of West Bend, WI, Lawrence Rondorf of Greenwood, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law: Richard Boone; one daughter-in-law: Becky Syth; one brother: Richard Rondorf; and 3 sisters: Nancy Feucht, Janet Kreuser and Judy Rondorf.
