GINA DEL FATTI JOHNSON, age 39, of Greenwood, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 8, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, in Greenwood, with Rev. Brian Campbell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 12pm until time of service.
Gina Del Fatti was born on January 28, 1974 in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Matt and Diane (Podevels) Del Fatti. She was raised and received her education in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1992, and then attending Chippewa Valley Technical College for 1 year.
Gina was united in marriage to Trent M. Johnson on January 6, 1993 in Neillsville. She operated a day care at her home from 1994 to 2004 caring for the children of many of the Greenwood families. When grown, those children frequently came back to visit and reminisce about those "day care" days and what was happening in their lives.
In 2004, she went to work for her father at Del Fatti Leather. She was her dad's "Right Hand Man" and was highly regarded by customers around the world for her bright personality and knowledge of the company's custom work.
Gina was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her kid's and family, and gardening.
She will be dearly missed by her husband: Trent, of Greenwood; 3 children: Taylan Michaela Johnson, Rylie Mattea Johnson and Jaeger Anthony Del Fatti Johnson; her parents: Matt and Diane Del Fatti of Greenwood; one sister: Angela (Jacob) Del Fatti-Kirchner and their children, Brooklyn, Cannon and Miranda of Little Chute; Gina's beloved in-laws: Michael and Shirley Johnson, Eric Johnson (Kathy Rachu), Amy (Josh) Vollrath, Tinker (Penny) Johnson, Luke (Lara) Johnson, Kallie Johnson, Kasey Johnson (Jordan Klingbeil), and "Grandma S'More" Amber Johnson; her maternal grandparents: Jr. and Evie Podevels of Colby; Godparents Ricky & Donna Podevels, Bob & Loni Klinke, Tony & Mary Del Fatti, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close and dear friends.
Gina was preceded in death by one brother: Harvey Del Fatti; and her paternal grandparents: Harvey and Mary Del Fatti.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in Gina's honor to be used for her children's education which she so highly valued.
