Full Obituary

     ROSE M. GUTOWSKI, age 84, of Thorp, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, November 10, 2023 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp, with Rev. Stanley Michael Antony officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30am until time of service.  A Celebration of Life with a small lunch will be held in the church basement following the service.  Burial will take place in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at a later date.
     Rose Marie Bryniarski was born on October 1, 1939 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Brinas) Bryniarski.  When she was a young girl, her family moved to Lublin, WI where she attended Lublin Grade School.  During her  high school years, she worked at her parent's bar south of Thorp, Ed & Mary's, now Brewster's.  She graduated from Thorp High School in 1958, and in the Spring of 1959, moved with her family to California.  She was united in marriage to Raymond B. Gutowski on June 23, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Covina, CA.  She was a homemaker and started raising their family, at the same time attending school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.  They moved back to Stanley, WI in 1973 where she worked at the Thorp Courier and waitressed, later moving to Thorp in 1979.
     She had many interests, but especially enjoyed bowling, reading and listening to music, traveling, going for car rides, and playing cards.
     Rose was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church and its PCCW.
     She is survived by her husband, Raymond, of Owen; three children: Michael of Eau Claire, Beverly Gutowski of Eau Claire, and Ray (Sharon) of Plover; nine grandchildren: Krystal (Dustin) Holder, Shaylee Gutowkski, Nichole Gutowski, David Eslinger, Sheri Eslinger, Kala Emery, Benjamin (Anna) Gutowski, and Adam Gutowski; 11 great-grandchildren: Kristian, Gracelynn, David, Kolton, Ava, Ryker, Keagan, Deacon, Brinley, Kyren, and Cyprian; two sisters: Camille Taylor and Esther (Richard) Ciancanelli, both of Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Rose was preceded in death by her parents.
