Full Obituary

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Ernest A. Skwierczynski, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He peacefully passed away in Kennewick, WA with his wife, daughter and granddaughter by his side.
Ernest was born in Stanley, WI on June 7, 1963, the son of Stanley and Frances (Marek) Skwierczynski.  He was raised and received his education at Thorp area schools.  Ernie moved to Washington State, where he met and was united in marriage to Sandra Schatz on June 8, 2002 in Kennewick.  He has lived in Washington for 40 years, where he worked in construction.  He was employed with GAME Inc. and retired in 2022.
Ernie loved fishing, grilling, and watching football and NASCAR.  He had a passion for restoring cars, and could fix anything.  But most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sandra; his daughters: Jessica and Ashley; his grandchildren: Logan, Kaydee, and Carson; his siblings: Rodney (Terri) Skwierczynski of White Bear Lake, MN, Arlene (Guy) Himebach of Thorp, WI, Corinne Skwierczynski of Eau Claire, WI, Natalie (Tim) McCredden of Withee, WI, Florian (Larissa) Skwierczynski of Eau Claire, WI, Stacey (David) Falkers of Westby, WI; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday, October 13, 2023 at New St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery in Thorp, with Fr. Stanislaus Michael Antony officiating.  Following the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held for Ernie at the Drink Inn, formerly TP Inn, in Thorp.
