     TERRY L. RIPHENBURG, age 62, of Thorp, WI, passed away at home on Thursday, October 14, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Thorp Funeral Home with Pastor John Sindler officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
     Terry Lee Riphenburg was born on November 14, 1958 in Neillsville, WI, to Nathan LeRoy and Ethel Marie (Gillard) Riphenburg, Sr.  He was raised and received his education in Neillsville, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1977.  After high school, Terry worked at Ortho Kinetics in Waukesha.  He was united in marriage to Sharon Cook and they later divorced.  Terry held various jobs, including, working at Fiskar's in Spencer, WI, was a bartender at Rooster Bar in Neillsville, cleaned businesses in Neillsville after hours, taught the developmentally challenged, and worked as a landscaper/groundskeeper, near Hawkins, WI, from 2011 to 2016.
     He had many interests, but especially enjoyed reading, watching TV, kayaking, going to flea markets and antique stores, going to the casino, and collecting dog figurines.
     Terry will be dearly missed by his companion: Todd Turenne of Thorp; his brothers: Nathan Jr. (Mary Lou) of Sussex, WI, Darrell of Freeport, IL; his sisters: Addie Leake of Neillsville, Sharon (Gary) Fisher of Freeport, IL, Maybelle (Ron) Mazola of Green Bay, WI; his dear niece: Amanda Benedict of Neillsville; special friends: Patti Stewart of Menasha, WI, and Judy Abramowicz of Lublin, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his feline companion, Murphy.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Ethel Riphenburg; one sister, Judy Moser, and one brother, Thomas Riphenburg.
