NATHAN H. NOELDNER, age 82, of Loyal, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Stoney River Memory Care in Marshfield, and peacefully waltzed his way into Heaven.  Alzheimer’s was slowly degrading his mind and body but a sudden decline in heath claimed what was left.  A private funeral will be held at St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Christie, WI on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  The service will be streamed live on Facebook through the church’s website, www.ruralwels.org.
Nathan Herman Noeldner was born on February 20, 1938 to Herman and Lucille (Goetz) Noeldner, at their rural home South of Loyal.  He attended Pleasant View School for grades 1-8 in a one room class setting and graduated from Loyal High School in 1956.  At the age of 12 he started working for his Dad on the silo building crew running the hoist.  After graduating from high school, he joined the construction crew full time building silo’s and pouring concrete for many homes and farms in the Clark County area.  They were also a dealership for Jamesway, Acorn and Badger farm handling equipment.  As a family business he strived to always do things the right way, never compromising on quality and took pride in the workmanship of his craft.  Eventually Nathan and his brother Gordie purchased Noeldner Construction from their father and were partners until his mind and body needed rest.  He spent over 60 years in the concrete construction industry.
Nathan married his long-time dance partner, June K. Loos on September 11, 1965 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.  After they were married, they purchased the Pleasant View School that he attended, remodeled it, and with pride, made it into their home where he lived the remainder of his life.  Together, they raised their four children in this home.
Nathan had many interests.  He loved all things music.  He played clarinet and sang in the choir in high school, was a member of the Clark County Male Chorus and enjoyed singing in church.  He spent many nights Polka dancing the evening away in the local dance halls.  When the music started, he was on the dance floor.  Nathan and June also spent many hours with the Loyal Circle 8 Square Dancing Club. He also had a passion for bowling as he started in high school and still bowled up until a year ago.  He was an accomplished bowler getting close a few times to the perfect 300 game he so desired.  He quietly, but proudly wore the jackets he received when he scored a few 700 series in his career.  Beyond music and bowling, he had a do-it-yourself attitude, enjoyed tinkering in his garage and seemed to be able to fix anything that he set his mind to.  He enjoyed old cars from the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s.  Even when Alzheimer’s was getting the best of him, he could still rattle off the year and make of a car passing by.  Nathan was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Christie, where he was able to help build the foundation for the church that is there today.  He was also on the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery board for many years and staked out graves for members of the community, neighbors, family and friends.
Above all, Nathan enjoyed the company of family and the relationships with his many friends.  He always had the time to stop and chat with someone he would run into at a store or on the street.  He was always the last one to leave a party because there was always one more person to visit with.   He always had a story or joke to tell, and loved hearing a good one in return.  He lovingly teased his nieces, nephews and grandkids, and they all loved teasing him right back.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, June; his children: Kerri (Walter) Schuette of Loyal, Kevin (Tricia Davis) Noeldner of Somerset, WI, Karl (Jaci) Noeldner of Fountain City, WI, Konni (Derek) Syth of Oshkosh, WI; his grandchildren: Alex and Megan Schuette, Davis and Elsie Noeldner, Mairin and Kambelle Syth, and Maeva, Nash, twins Bowie and Blaze, and Baby Cora Noeldner; his siblings and their families: Brenda (Al) Noah, Eleanor (Harry) Johnson, Ed (Kris) Noeldner, Randy (Karen) Noeldner, and his brother, business partner, part time care-giver, and someone who was always there for him, Gordon Noeldner, as well as his sister-in-law Barb Noeldner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donnie Noeldner.
