Robert Edward Domine was born May 20, 1942, in West Allis, WI to Manuial and Helen (Strey) Domine.  He was raised in Loyal, WI and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and Loyal High School.  He joined the Navy in January of 1960 and was honorably discharged in May of 1963.  During the Vietnam War, he served on the USS Independence (CVA 62) overseas.  He moved to Oak Creek and worked at Edgerton Construction as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic until his retirement when he moved back to Loyal.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, as well as his great nieces and nephews.  He was very loving and kind, and always willing to give his undivided attention to the children.  Whether that time was spent reading and re-reading books, playing cards or board games, doing outdoor activities or something else together, he always had a smile and good memories were made.
Robert will be missed by his two sisters: Shirley Shefchik (Allen Fredrickson) of Greenfield, and Barbara Dux of Marshfield; one brother: Ronald (Shirley) Domine of Marshfield; 13 nieces and nephews: Dennis (Jean) Shefchik of Lander, WY, Kay (Patrick) Dobson of Brown Deer, Carol Seibert of Trevor, Gary (Katie) Shefchik of Mukwonago, Randy (Shelley) Domine of Loyal, Mike (Dawn) Domine of Avondale, AZ, Kevin (Lisa) Domine of Wausau, Shelby (Todd) Schoonover of Kronenwetter, Brian (Karrie) Domine of Phoenix, AZ, Steve (Angie) Domine of Hewitt, Lisa (Nathan) Hanson of Oak Grove, MN, Denise (Brian) VanderKooy of Hatley, Jason (Tiffany) Dux of Onalaska.  He is further survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Debbie Shefchik; nephew, Dale Shefchik; great-nephew, Dustin Domine; and great-niece, Holly Domine.
Schizophrenia is a very serious mental disorder that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves.  People with schizophrenia interpret reality abnormally and require lifelong treatment.  Once the prescription for his medication was discontinued and would not be reinstated, Robert’s symptoms returned.  He will always be remembered by his loved ones as the kind-hearted and loving brother and uncle, who was more than willing to help those in need, even though he was trapped in bondage with a horrible mental illness.  Thankfully, God intervened with open arms and His tender mercy and spared Bob from the pain that he did not deserve. He’s now enjoying the Blessed Life with many other Loved Ones.
