Roger served on the board of directors for Memorial Medical Center for 16 years, was a member of the Greenwood American Legion Post #238, and owned the Hotel Gift Shop, which he later converted into apartments.
He had many interests, but especially enjoyed traveling, gardening and canning, flea markets, hunting, and attending gun shows.  Roger had been a firearms dealer and would set up at several gun shows with his friends.
