     STELLA V. HALIDA, age 89. of Lublin, WI, passed away at the Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen, WI, on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, May 6, 2019 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, in Lublin. Rev. Madanu Lourdu Raju will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Tracy Albrecht, Gwen Sova, Jennifer Duellman, Karyn Nitz, Hillary Tolzmann, Stacy Syryczuk, Sunnie Robinson and Hunter Halida. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm, with a 7:30pm rosary service. Visitation will also be held at the church, on Monday, from 9:30am until time of service.
     Stella Victoria Malinowski was born on December 16, 1929 in the Town of Withee, rural Lublin, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Wittek) Malinowski. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at area schools. After completing her schooling, Stella was united in marriage to Stanley Halida, Sr. on October 29, 1949 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. They moved to Chicago for a short time before Stanley purchased his family's dairy farm in Lublin, in 1951. They farmed in the townships of Roosevelt and Maplehurst for 30 years before selling the farm to their son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Dorothy Halida, Jr., in 1981.
     She had many interests, but especially enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, bird-watching, cooking and baking, gardening, and working in her flower gardens.
     Stella was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and its PCCW, and a member of the Lublin American Legion Auxiliary.
     She is survived by 7 children: Barbara (Donald) Cwikla, Mary Losiewicz, Stanley (Dorothy) Halida, Jr., Geraldine (Larry) Dmytro, Carolyn (James) Penk, Raymond (Susan) Halida and Roger Halida; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; 3 sisters: Francis Bak, MaryAnn Wnek, Josephine Czuba; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Stella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley, on November 27, 2012; 2 sons-in-law: Richard Losiewicz and Jeffrey Dmytro; her grandson-in-law: Kenneth Robinson; and 2 sisters: Marcy Kotlowski and Pat Albert.
