RONALD B. FROEBA, age 80, of Loyal, passed away at the House of the Dove, in Marshfield, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal.  Rev. Leo Stanislaus will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Military rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post #175.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 9:30am until time of service.
Ronald Bernard Froeba was born on July 19, 1938 in Loyal, WI, to Clarence and Loretta (Bauer) Froeba.  He was raised on the family farm and received his education at St. Anthony Parochial School.  After completing his schooling, Ronnie worked at O.W. Trindal and at Schlinsog Dairy before enlisting in the U.S. Army.  He served from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1962.  Ronnie returned to Loyal and was the patrolman for the Town of York and the Town of Loyal.  He was united in marriage to Kathleen E. Bentzler on February 8, 1964 at St. Anthony Catholic Church.  In 1965, he purchased his family's farm and became a 3rd generation farmer.  He started dairy farming in 1970 and continued farming until retiring in 1995.  In retirement, Ronnie spent most of his time going to auctions.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Loyal American Legion Post #175, and was the Town of Loyal Supervisor for several years.
Ronnie had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family and friends, going to auctions, fixing and selling things, and making a "buck".
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Kathy, of Loyal; his daughter: Karen (Perry) Schultz of Lindsey; his sons: James, Timothy (Missy), and Kevin (Dana), all of Loyal; eight grandchildren: Jonathon (Kayla) Schultz, Luke Froeba, Stetson Froeba (fiancé Melissa Hebert), Paige Schultz, Mason Froeba, Erin Froeba, Lindsey Schultz, and Waylon Froeba; three great-grandchildren: Franklin, Charlie and Evelyn; his siblings: Viola Uhlig of Abbotsford, Kitty Grambort of Abbotsford, Marceil Russell of Greenwood, Nancy (Jim) Steinbach of Loyal, Sandy (Jerry) Noeldner of Loyal; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Evelyn Froeba; and three brothers: Tom, Herb and Raymond Froeba.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the House of the Dove.
