STEPHEN F. LEPORI, age 71, of Spencer, passed away at the House of the Dove on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
Stephen Francis Lepori was born on August 4, 1946 in Marshfield, WI, the son of Stephano M. and Eileen H. (Hoft) Lepori. He was raised on the family farm in the Town of York, rural Loyal, and received his education at Lincoln School and attended Loyal High School. After completing his education, Steve enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corp on January 30, 1964. He served until he was honorably discharged on March 27, 1964, due to a health condition. Steve was united in marriage to Kathleen K. Faucher at Christ the King Catholic Church, in Spencer, on August 12, 1967. They moved to Sheboygan where he worked at Bemis and Georgia Pacific until moving to Spencer in 1980. Steve then went to work as a forklift operator at Land O' Lakes, in Spencer, until retiring in 2002.
He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, and had many interests, but especially loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, and traveling. Steve was a thrill-seeker, enjoying bungee jumping, riding roller coasters, racing motorcycles at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, and riding motorcycle in motordomes, "The Wall of Death."
Steve will be dearly missed by his wife, Kathy, of Spencer; two children: Angela (Frankie) Makovec of Unity, Mike Lepori of Oshkosh, WI; five grandchildren: Ian (Sarah) Makovec, Ashley Casperson, Lizzi Makovec, Garrett Casperson and Mason Casperson; two sisters: Mary (Pat) Rupinski of Birmingham, AL, Patty (Steve) Pilsner of Madison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
