Condolences to the Family of Bernard A. Lindgren

John Kotz Waukesha Wisconsin – Posted On: August 1, 2016

My condolences to Mary (Erpenbach), and the entire Lindgren family. May you celebrate all the wonderful memories you have of Bernie.

Rev. Jeannie Bates Omaha, NE – Posted On: July 27, 2016

To the family and friends of Bernie Lindgren,

While we did not have the privilege of getting to know Bernie, from the stories and memories contained in the condolences thus far, it is clear some of his best qualities live on in his son Mike. We have had the blessing of working with Mike through a ministry we serve together. Participants and volunteers alike appreciate his loving commitment to the work we do, the gentle correction and accountability when we need it, and the ability to laugh at life when the blessing is needed. I suspect Mike's dad and mom had something to do with forming the man he has become and the difference he makes in the lives of others. Thank you for instilling your care and values in him. We all benefit, as will the generations that follow in our footsteps.

May your grief be interrupted by the joy that comes with the promise of resurrection, as the Spirit moves to comfort your hearts with the presence of Christ and the grace of our God.

Mike and Family, You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Have hope in tomorrow, have faith in the everlasting, and take comfort
in knowing he is at peace and in the arms of Jesus.
May God's love make your grief bearable. My deepest condolences.

To my aunt Edna and all my cousins – My heart goes out to all of you as you grieve. I hope today’s sadness is soon replaced with all of the happy memories you have shared as a family. Although distance separates us, I have happy memories of the times when I was able to visit everyone in Loyal. I will miss seeing Bernie sitting in his recliner with one or more dogs in his lap. You have been and always will be in my prayers.

My heart goes out to the whole family. I pray that you all feel the loving peace of Jesus' arms around you, now and in the days to come. One of my fondest memories of Dad was when we came to WI with my mom and dad and one afternoon we all found ourselves in a game of softball in the front yard. Adults and kids all together. Bernie was in the outfield out by the ditch. A fly ball was slammed high in the air straight toward him. Glove hand high in the air he stepped back several paces to catch it. All of a sudden his feet were up in the air, body horizontal, and he disappeared into ditch. After a LONG pause he popped out of the ditch waving the ball in his glove. Hilarious! I hope you all have a healing time of sharing fond memories together. FYUT2 My love to you all.
