Condolences to the Family of E. LaVern "Vern" Dahlby

Fred Zuehlke Wisconsin Rapids Wi – Posted On: August 2, 2016

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad, our family friend, and one of my Dad's best friends. Vern. A true one of a kind person who like many of our parents friends were staples in the small town of Loyal. I always remember his smiles, jokes, and stories and I can still hear his voice in my head today. It was a joy to visit your home and when they moved to Stoney River it was great to visit him there also. I always looked forward to the visits. Vern was one of a kind and will be missed terribly, but remembered affectionately. He was a great man. I was lucky to have known him for so long and for our family to have him as a friend for so many years. God bless, and my deepest condolences on the loss of such a good man and Great person. Fred

I'd like to express deep sympathy for loss of your loved one. I hope and pray this message bring comfort and soothe the pain that you are experiencing at this time. What has help me to cope and deal with lost a love one is found God's Word the Bible in Psalms 113:5-8 "Who is like Jehovah our God, The one who dwells on high? 6 He stoops down to look on heaven and earth, 7 Raising the lowly from the dust. He lifts up the poor from the ash heap 8 In order to make him sit with nobles, With nobles of his people." You can find similar comforting verses in the website jw.org.

During the years when the school was without a chor program in the 1980s, Vern was a Sunday school volunteer. I know how to sing a hymn, and love to sing a hymn, because he taught us how. He brought healing, joy and music to the world.
God bless you all.

My sincere condolences to the family of Vern Dahlby. Mr. Dahlby was the band director at Loyal HS and I was a member of the trombone section for four years. His love of music was infectious to his students. Due to Vern's encouragement, I pursued the path to become a band director. I experienced a marvelous career of 32 years educating students in DeForest, WI. Thank you, Mr. Dahlby.

We appreciate the chance with each death of someone close to us
to remember how short is our time and how blessed we are with those who came before us to live the history we never touched, and to friends and children who will make a future we will not see.
It is such a miracle and privilege to be able to make the earth tremble with our passing,
Leaving great footprints others will be hard pressed to fill or forget.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
