Condolences to the Family of Dorothy E. Mavis

Rick & Diana Thiede Marengo. Il – Posted On: April 2, 2016

Our condolences for your loss of Dorothy. We always enjoyed playing cards with Dorothy and Earl back in Marengo in the card club. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless all of you.

I am very sorry for your loss.
When you are a child, you never forget someone who is kind, loving, caring and always made you feel safe. Your Mother was one of those people for me.
Your Mother always made sure I had breakfast after a sleepover with Deanna, even though there were plenty of farm chores to do. I can still see your mom in her kitchen on River Road, taking time out of her busy day to make sure everyone was well fed and cared for.
The love we have for our mothers will never cease.
May God be with all of you at this very difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Roberta Foley-Dougherty

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Know that God is aware of the tears you are shedding. (Psalm 56:18) He will soon do what is said at Acts 24:15, which promises us of a resurrection of our loved ones. May that bring you hope. Take comfort in your good memories and allow your family and loving friends to help you through this difficult time.

Earl, we want to offer our sincere sympathy to you and your family in the passing of your wife Dorothy, my cousin - I have not seen either of
you since High School but I feel the loss - We grew up to together and went to school together, but I lost contact with you and Dorothy after that time - Dorothy and Jimmie Murphy and I were very close growing up on our farms in Marengo - Due to my age and the distance to Wisconsin, we will not
be able to attend the funeral - God Bless You and Your Family - May Dorothy rest in peace in Heaven with her family - Ben and Mitsuko

We would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Dorothy Mavis. Our Creator, Jehovah, has provided comfort for us in times like these through His word the Bible. One day we will welcome our loved ones back again (John 5:28,29a) and death and mourning will be done away with (Revelations 21:3,4). May those verses and many others bring you some comfort.
