Condolences to the Family of Virgil A. Esselman

I don't see any implication from Jon that Sally Ride was not a good role model. Just the oppotise. One instance where Paterno decided in hind sight that he should have bucked his bosses ???? Joe Paterno was the boss. The President of the University tried to fire him 7 years ago and it didn't take. Paterno was the most powerful man on the Penn State campus. No one was a close second. The fact the college athletics is a cesspit of sham amatureism that systematically exploits young people is not an excuse for not reporting child abuse.

So sorry to hear about Virgil's passing. I knew him thru 4-H and showing cattle at the fair, often competing against each other. He will be deeply missed by all.

I posted a newspaper clipping on my facebook page of Virgil and I in high school when we were AI trained as teenagers. I will never forget that training -- we had a lot of laughs while learning more about the dairy industry. Most recently Virgil supported Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital's annual fundraiser "Festival of Light". He was introduced to the event many years ago by Melissa Schultz. He has donated toward this event every year since. Virgil has a special place in many hearts! My thoughts and prayers to a wonderful family.

Esselman family - so sorry to hear of Virgil's untimely passing. A kind, gentle, dear-hearted man he was, and the Putrus family will have a deep void. Christmas morning won't be the same at Connie's house without Virgil.... May God give us all comfort in this time of sorrow, as we have faith that Virgil is in a beautiful and joyous place.
