Condolences to the Family of The Rev. Msgr. Matthew G. Malnar

Msgr. Matthew was the most touching priest I have ever met. His knowledge of the Catholic faith is unbelievable. He was a walking genius. He had so much to share about the Catholic faith. He shared his knowledge of Our Lord and Blessed Mother Mary to everyone. He helped me with my faith and I learned more about my faith thru him. I want to thank God for every minute I had with him on our trips to Fatima and Rome and Medjugoria. He was so in love with Our Lady always looking at statues of her and made sure her face was painted perfectly. I believe he was a saint in our path. Thank You God so very much that we got to know him. Love and God Bless You! Karen

I am a member of Msgr. Malnar’s Carmelite Community and my husband Dan and I are also fellow members of his in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre. He was a great blessing to all of us who counted him as a friend, and we shall surely miss him. It was a true blessing from the Lord that we in our Carmel zoom meeting were just finishing our Bridgetine Rosary when we were told by his niece Julie that he had just passed. We were so stunned, because he had given us our Rosaries of St. Bridget and the instructions on how to say it. We had, none of us said it before! We had simply decided to say it that day for him because of him being in hospice. I will never forget him and I hope to see him in Heaven!
