Condolences to the Family of Genevieve J. Petranovich

Elaine Oberle Dooley Gainesville FL – Posted On: February 3, 2021

My condolences go to the Family. Genevieve used to take her daughter Shirley and me to dog shows for 4-H and many other related activities. She was a great mom and a great community member.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of this lovely lady. When I lived in Thorp and even afterward, every time I saw Gen, she was clipping along as fast as she could go. You could see she had things to do and places to go. Take Care Petranovich family.

Aunt Gen was an amazing woman. Some of my fondest memories are shared with her and her family. My sincere condolences go out to all my cousins. I will miss her dearly. Save a polka dance for me when we meet once again. Love you.

Rest in Peace, Gen. I know Mom and Florence will be happy you're with them to play cards like you three used to.

We're so sad to lose such a special lady and dear friend. We were blessed to have her as a part of our extended family when Roy & Holly got married. So many special memories we shared with Gen. All the polka festivals and dances, camping, get togethers, even our birthdays, only a couple days apart!! Now you can dance to that polka band in heaven. You were truly a special lady and believed in your faith and loved your family. Rest in peace dear friend.

Gen was a cousin of my mom, Rose Reyzer. I enjoyed talking with Gen whenever I saw her. My deepest sympathy goes out to all her family. May she rest in peace.

Gen was a nice lady, always with a smile on her face

Aunt Gen was like a second Mom to me growing up and her kids were like my siblings. I spent many summers at the farm doing many things I was unable to at home. So many fond memories! My Dad (her brother) and my Aunt Helene, and Aunt Gen were so fun to be around. Always telling stories of their childhood. Laughter was always a big part of our family gatherings. I KNOW they are all smiling and laughing up there now. Probably watching or dancing to a polka band that they used to travel to see together. I miss them all! My thoughts and prayers are with all my close family members going through this time. It is certainly a time to remember all the good times we had but also grieve the loss of them in our earthly lives. The way this world is going today, I'm sure they are all at peace which is what I hope the world finds soon. Love you guys and wish I could be there to give you all big huge hugs of support like you need now!
